At DLP Masterclass, we offer an immersive learning experience in studio portrait photography. Led by David Levine, a seasoned photographer with over 40 years in the industry, our small-group workshops in Brighton
focus on hands-on practice and personalised guidance. Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your skills, our workshops are designed to foster creativity and confidence.
To make the most of your time in the studio, it’s important that you’re already confident operating your own camera. This course is focused on learning the art of portrait lighting and direction, and not basic camera operation. Before attending, please ensure:1. You know how to operate your camera in manual mode.2. If you’re using a mirrorless camera, you’re familiar with how to turn the live view setting on and off.
3. Your camera’s hot shoe and or sync lead socket is active. Some brands ship these settings off by default, so check your manual for settings beforehand. Arriving with your gear fully set up allows us to get straight to work crafting expressive, professional portraits using proven studio techniques. This approach ensures your session is hands on, focused, and fun.
